Look like I might possibly have the kitchen sink in it. It’s wide enough that the netbook goes in the center compartment (and I really think it was made with netbooks in mind) with about an inch to spare on each side, and about a quarter inch to spare on top (after I put a layer of cushioning on the bottom for the netbook to rest on). There is a compartment on either side of the center netbook compartment, and one side one I have the wallet, cellphone (in a cellphone pocket), chapstick (in the bottom of the cellphone pocket), fingernail file, a few pens, and my keys. Everything else is in the other side of the purse. That means the things I need most often are quick and easy to get to. But the thing is, it’s kind of wide, but not very tall, and not very thick. And the front, back, and sides are straight up and down, it doesn’t look like a bag, it’s got clean lines. It’s a rectangle, not a bag. If that makes sense.

It is even a name brand purse – not something I usually go for, but this was the perfect purse. Plus, it was on sale for 70% off, which made it only about fifteen dollars over what I’d normally spend on a purse.

I am very happy with my new purse. I’m also kind of happy my purse no longer has diapers, cheerios, bottles, wipes, spare clothes, etc. Don’t get me wrong, I loved that period, and if we were adding to our family I would be just fine having those things. But it’s also kind of nice to be at this point, too.

There are a few other things I used to carry, like a little sewing kit, that are now in the glove compartment of my car. Theoretically close enough to get to if needed, but I don’t have to actually have it on my person at all times. And really, the safety pins can handle most anything until I get home.
